We congratulate Naveena Ujagar who passed her advancement examination. Naveena is the very first graduate student in the Nicholas Lab. Naveena joined the lab winter quater of 2022 and has been a force since first placed her hands on a flow cytometer. During her 2 hour examination titled “Metabolism of Inflammatory T helper 17 cells from Type 2 Diabetic Patients”, she shared her journey in the Nicholas lab, 2 cool side projects that honed her flow cytometry skills, and the awesome dataset that supports the hypothesis she will test for her doctoral work. We are so proud of Naveena for being the first, knocking her advancement out of the park, and being an example and role model to the other graduate students in the lab.
