This Spring, three undergrads in the Nicholas lab presented thier research to complete the UCI School of Biological Sciences Excellence in Research Program. Davina Trinh, Uyen-Vy Le, and Sizhe Wang all wrote research reports and defended thier research in front of UCI BioSci Faculty during a poster presenation to be awarded this prestigous honor. Uyen-Vy Le, in addition to being awarded Research Excellence, also received the Deans Award for her project titled “The Effect of Dihyrotestosterone on GLUT1 Localization and Glycolysis in LBT2 Gonaotrope Cells.” Congratulations to these 3 women in STEM who have excelled early in their academic careers.
